I met Kiara while I was studying at University for my Digital Media course.
While alone in my tiny studio apartment in the residential building block, I heard a knock on my door out of the blue. Assuming it was one of my friends, I opened the door only to notice a beautiful girl who was lost knocking on the wrong door.
Weeks went by without talking to each other, then I noticed Kiara was going to a social Uni event. I had no intentions of going, though I wanted to see her again and see what would happen. So yes… I decided last minute, “Well why not?”
From then on, it was history. Easily the best decision I have ever made and now five years later we are still together to this day debating that Kiara purposefully knocked on my door just to check me out…

WHY WEDDINGS
My favourite childhood memories are the times my family and I would watch movie after movie every weekend. When we weren’t doing that, I would be in the backyard with friends shooting some short film or music video (not to be seen by anyone in the public).
Most importantly, I believe I have always loved a great story. I had such a great passion for wanting to create and shoot visual stories that I decided to leave my hometown of Innisfail and venture out to make a career out of it.
This led me to the North Queensland town of Mackay which is where I also met my partner Kiara. During my years of completing my Digital Media course, I started shooting weddings myself and realised immediately that this was what I wanted to dive deeper into.
Marriage is such a beautiful and powerful commitment that I will never get tired of capturing. Every single wedding has its own unique story exclusive to each couple. This is what led to the name Uncharted Visuals. I find to this day that every couple I have had the pleasure of working with has some kind of beautiful story that is different from any others that have come before.
Your wedding day is the most important and beautiful story that you will ever have the pleasure of being the main star in. The end of one chapter, and the beginning of an even bigger and more exciting adventure to come.
